The name Deer Creek comes from Psalm 42:1 “As the deer pants for water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” The life of this deer depends upon the water, so our lives depend upon the Living Water, Jesus. Our goal at Deer Creek is to give families, as well as individuals, a quiet and peaceful place to focus their attention on the
One that gave His life for us and to seek to further that relationship with Him. A personal growing relationship with Jesus is the only way! As we continue providing a place free from outside distraction for those who come to grow, our ministry must also grow. God has continued to bless this ministry, but we believe it has just begun. God privileged us to have many opportunities to serve and minister to many people. As we do this, our needs have increased. This world we are in needs Jesus! Families continue to fall apart, addiction continues to rise, and Jesus is not valued or prioritized within the family. We have a duty and feel compelled to open our doors, share the Good News of Jesus, and, according to Deuteronomy 6, train, equip, and provide an opportunity for parents to minister to their children.
Greater Purpose
With this opportunity stated above, our needs here continue to grow. Two specific needs we would like to share with you. The first significant need that we currently have is staffing. Our prayer is that God provides specific people to fill certain roles here. We need a home for them to live in for that to happen.
A second critical need is more lodging for our guests.
As we know, the cost of building materials is still very high. But we also know God provided every need for the Chapel project through COVID. We are currently looking for a mobile home that can be moved on-site and used as housing, which will most likely need repairs. Camp has another existing structure that needs to be completely renovated which we will use for guest housing.
This would allow us to house around 30 people in that one structure. These are two extensive and costly undertakings, but we know that, as we have seen, again and again, God will provide! Please prayerfully consider giving towards The Greater Purpose campaign. All funds given will help further the Kingdom by seeing these two projects completed. For more information or any questions, please get in touch with us. We value your prayer and financial support!
Letter From The Director

I know many of you have been in prayer for me, and I want to say thank you so much. About a year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with a type of cancer called CLL/SLL. Over that time, cancer in the blood continued to worsen. A biopsy was done more recently to confirm the diagnosis and the best way to treat it.
At this point, I go once a week for six months for IV treatments and at- home pill treatments. The treatments have been going well, some days I’m sick, but overall, it is well. My doctor hopes that the treatments will get this under control and cancer will not get worse. Honestly, this has been somewhat of an emotional roller coaster. I remember the evening I received the phone call with the news of cancer. In that moment of breaking down because of fear of the future, all I could do was pray. As I prayed to my Heavenly Father, I felt the Spirit within me. I heard, “I’m not done with you yet.” See, I don’t fear death because my eternity is secure. I fear leaving my family and all the work that needs to be done here at Deer Creek.
As I continue to walk through this, I have many people praying for me, and I feel it in my spirit. God is good, and His plan is perfect. I daily try to trust Him and rely on Him. I ask you to please continue to pray. Pray that I will have the strength and courage to walk out of what God has called me to do.
I also ask you to pray that He would provide financially. We do have insurance, but that only covers so much. The bills are piling up, and we pay what we can when we can. I am so blessed; God has cared for my family and me as we have served in faith-based ministry for over 20 yrs.
We love each of you!
The Refuge

We are excited to announce that we will be starting a monthly worship and prayer service here at Deer Creek called The Refuge. We will meet every 2nd Sunday of the month at 6pm. This will be a time to come and escape the chaos and focus on the One who is greater than all. FOCUSED WORSHIP, PRAYER, WORD. Maybe you know someone that wouldn’t walk in the doors of a church; we encourage you to bring them! We will kick this off in August. Hope to see you here!
